In the summers of 2019 and 2020, I worked as an IT Salesforce Development Intern at Voya Financial. During my time at Voya, I was tasked with improving the test coverage of Voya’s Retirement Salesforce environment. This included code refactoring and writing new unit tests for about 50 different Apex classes. I was responsible for achieving a higher level of automation in order to improve the quality of Voya’s Salesforce production environment for my other team members. Through my contributions to the team, I also developed a strong understanding of Apex, VisualForce, and SOQL as well as scrum and agile methodologies.

I served as a Peer Mentor for Residential Life at UMass Amherst in the Gorman / Wheeler Residential Cluster. For this job, I communicated with and advised a group of over 400 freshmen transitioning to on-campus dormitories during the Covid-19 emergency. I also coordinated with other peer mentors and residential assistants to provide useful seminars for first year students.

I served as an undergraduate course assistant to Instructor Liam Rothschild and Professor Jaime Dávila for 345: Practice and Applications of Data Management. This class focused on data management through the use of SQL. As a UCA, I proctored weekly classes for 1 class section of 100 students, quickly graded assignments, and hosted weekly office hours on Zoom. I also helped with the development of new course material using SQL databases and Python autograders.

I served as an undergraduate course assistant to Professors Rui Wang and Tauhidur Rahman for 256/290M Make: A Hand’s On Introduction to Physical Computing. This class focused on lab-based physics, electronics, and Arduino programming. As a UCA, I proctored weekly labs for 1 class section of 35 students, quickly graded weekly lab reports for 2 sections totaling 75 students

Based at Braintree High School, I helped service the entire school district as an intern. I have assisted in the deployment of Chromebooks, Mac OS updates, Windows 10 images, and Android tablets. My responsibilties included providing helpdesk assistence and maintaining an accurate inventory of the midsized enterprise network. While I started out as a High School Intern Technician, I was promoted to College Intern Technician and Substitute Technician. As a technician, I specialize in the repair of Chromebooks while mentoring teams of 15 high school interns.

Epic Movement is a Cru ministry that envisions Asian American students and faculty transformed by their relationship with Jesus Christ, embracing the value of their cultures and actively engaging in God’s redemptive work in ways that honor all people and contexts. Epic Movement at UMass Amherst was established in the fall of 2008.

Beginning my senior year, I assumed the responsibilities of President. I led an Executive Board of 14 members as well as the general fellowship of 80 members during UMass Amherst's transition to remote learning.

During my sophomore and junior years at UMass, I served on the Executive Board for Epic Movement at UMass as the Event Coordinator and Photographer. As the Event Coordinator, I coordinated with UMass Administration to organize rooms for weekly meetings of 30 - 70 people. My responsibilities also included organizing off campus events such as board game nights, hikes, and fundraisers. As the photographer, I helped expand UMass Epic Movement's social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.

ARISE is a para-church ministry dedicated to loving the Korean Church of New England primarily by serving the second-generation youth.

Throughout the period of a week, I mentored a group of Korean American middle school boys at a retreat-style Christian camp. I lead quiet time, Bible studies, and fellowship. I also shot raw footage that was later used in a retreat highlight video.

At The Home Depot, I operated behind the service desk. I assisted customers with purchases and returns - specializing with online orders. I also answered confidential calls, restocked items, and kept the service desk a clean and presentable working environment.

Project RISE (Respect, Integrity, and Success through Education) is an academic enrichment program which runs both in the summer and during the school year focused on helping students of color succeed in the Greater Boston area.

Over the span of seven weeks, I taught mathematics and helped coordinate general camp activities for a group of 70 inner-city middle and high school students. I led five 50 minute math classes for 4 days a week in topics including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. I also oversaw the creation of a new website: "projectriseboston.org" (the website has since been updated) and produced a 5 minute video showing the perspective of a student at camp.
